Anthony: I saw this movie two weeks ago, so I’m a little vague on it, but I just wanted to start out because I feel like this year has been an interesting year for movies for me where almost every movie I’ve watched, I’ve left the theater with a great experience – like elated excited, over the moon – and for some reason, the first watch of this movie I felt the opposite. I felt very cold and I was like, oh man that didn’t really impress me. I didn’t feel satisfied. And then over the following days and leading up to now, my enjoyment and excitement for the film has grown immensely. It’s become this great thing. And I’m like, damn, was it just my expectations going in and maybe not getting what I wanted? So I wanted to ask you: what did your first experience watching it feel like?
David: Oh man, yeah, I think I had more of your typical experience that you’re describing where, when I watched it yesterday, I really liked it. I got a lot out of it. You know, it’s exciting; it’s engaging. I loved a lot of aspects about it. In the last 24 hours, the more I thought about it, it has soured a little bit.
Anthony: Really?
David: Yeah, just a little bit. But it’s still a good film…
